A Man's Vow

I promise myself to be so strong that nothing can disturb my peace of mind. To talk health, happiness and prosperity to every person I meet. To make all my friends feel that there is something in them. To look at the sunny side of everything and make my optimism come true. To think only of the best, to work only for the best and expect only the best. To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as I am about my own. To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future. To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature I meet a smile. To give so much time to the improvements of myself that I have no time to criticize others. To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear and too happy to permit the presence of trouble. So help me God.

Stress vs. Mis-management

Fellas,

Today, Joynier was the speaker for the Rookie Conference Call. He delivered a very powerful message regarding pressures and mis-management. He detailed the differences of the two. We all have pressures in life: getting to work on time when an accident has happened, dealing with a personal issue that was beyond your control.

We also have areas in our life that have been mis-managed. Your work day begins at 7am and you decide to make personal phone calls until 8am, knowing that a report is due on your bosses desk by 8:30am. You feel pressured to get the job done because of your mis-management of time. It could have been avoided if you had taken the time to start work at 7am.

Where in your life have you lost control of a situation because of self? In loosing that control, you immediately gave in to the pressures and put the blame on someone else or something else instead of looking at the situation as you not managing your time correctly.

Time is our most valuable commodity. Make sure you pressure yourself to not mis-management.

Purpose and Strength,

Koop
