A Man's Vow

I promise myself to be so strong that nothing can disturb my peace of mind. To talk health, happiness and prosperity to every person I meet. To make all my friends feel that there is something in them. To look at the sunny side of everything and make my optimism come true. To think only of the best, to work only for the best and expect only the best. To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as I am about my own. To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future. To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature I meet a smile. To give so much time to the improvements of myself that I have no time to criticize others. To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear and too happy to permit the presence of trouble. So help me God.

Senior Call 05.29.2007

The Senior call was about our responsibility to do ministry the way Jesus did. How was Jesus able to reach so many people? How was he able to make the impact in the lives of people? Why was he so effective in building relationships with people? He was able to do so, because he knew who He was.

How many of you really know who you are? Jamie touched on a little bit of this today. Do you know your strengths? Do you know what drives the passion inside of you? Do you have passion and if not, why?

Each time throughout scripture, when Jesus say, "I am" He went on to describe who He was. Throughout our life, we are constantly allowing people to tell us who we are and we fight against it as opposed to being people of integrity and letting time prove us right.

Your life is an empty lot in which God is trying to build upon. He has given you the tools to use: strength (choices) and accountability (someone to hold you responsible for your actions). What you choose to do with those tools will determine the type of house you build. Don't be like the three pigs and build houses made of straw and sticks. Build your house on the foundation of God's Word. It's on this rock (you) He will build His Church (you again).

Who are you? The world is wanting to know.

Building leader, impacting lives, bringing strength, and impacting people... Alliance Strong!
