Fellas,
As we move forward with strengthening The Alliance, how has it been
going with the new changes? By new changes, I mean how is it going with
Monday prayer, Tuesday praise, Wednesday quiet time, Thursday fast,
Friday Word Study, Saturday prep, and Sunday ministry time. The changes
should cause a growth in you as an individual and strengthen us as a
group. While it may be early on with the new changes, I would like to hear
back from each of you what your experience has been with the daily
connections to God.
Some of you have asked me if studying the Word on Fridays eliminated
you reading the Word daily. No, it does not eliminate the reading of
God's Daily Word. Friday is just an extension of what you should be doing
throughout the week. The scripture states that we should not just be
"hearers" of the Word, but we should be "doers" as well. Study to show
yourself approved. You feel me?
As a reminder, do not forget that each of you will be sending emails to
me (minus the Rookies) on the 3rd Saturday of each month before 11pm.
I look forward to hearing what God has done in your lives over the
last 30 days. If He hasn't done anything, then you must be dead, but
even then, He has done something! Your emails to me on the 3rd Saturday
of each month should include answers to the 10 accountability questions.
Not he 5 questions that the Rookies are answering. If you have
questions about this, get in touch with me.
Our readings for the week continues in the book of II Chronicles.
Chronicles means "scribe." What you are reading is a repeat of I and II
Kings, but it is more in depth and seen through the eyes of a priest that
wrote everything down (scribe).
One of the interesting dynamics that I see happening in the books of
Chronicles is that the Kings are quite young. King Joash was only 7
years old when he became King and his grandson, King Uzziah was 16 years
old when he became King. Faithfulness to God knows no age limit.
Whether young or old, you are the right age to seek God and obey him with a
whole heart. Where are you in response to this statement.
This week's reading:
Monday: Review
Tuesday: II Chronicles 29-32
Wednesday: II Chronicles 33-36
Thursday: Ezra 1-3
Friday: Ezra 4-6
Saturday: Ezra 7-8
Sunday: Ezra 9-10

A Man's Vow
I promise myself to be so strong that nothing can disturb my peace of mind. To talk health, happiness and prosperity to every person I meet. To make all my friends feel that there is something in them. To look at the sunny side of everything and make my optimism come true. To think only of the best, to work only for the best and expect only the best. To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as I am about my own. To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future. To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature I meet a smile. To give so much time to the improvements of myself that I have no time to criticize others. To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear and too happy to permit the presence of trouble. So help me God.
