A Man's Vow
I promise myself to be so strong that nothing can disturb my peace of mind. To talk health, happiness and prosperity to every person I meet. To make all my friends feel that there is something in them. To look at the sunny side of everything and make my optimism come true. To think only of the best, to work only for the best and expect only the best. To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as I am about my own. To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future. To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature I meet a smile. To give so much time to the improvements of myself that I have no time to criticize others. To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear and too happy to permit the presence of trouble. So help me God.

Readings for the week of May 26th
Fellas,
I hope each of you enjoyed your week-end and the Holiday on Monday (yesterday).
As we have been reading through the book of Job, I have often asked myself the question, "Have I taken a complete inventory of my life?" Like Job, I believe we all have the "Job complex" where God is so confident in us, that the enemy will "casually" go to and fro from the earth just as he did way back then and say to God, "Yeah, those Alliance Men are good, but that's because you have a hedge around them. Let me start attacking them in different areas of their life and they will curse YOU."
Now, you might think, "I don't think that type of suffering would every happen to me." I'm here to tell you it already has. If you are struggling with fear, you have the Job Complex. If you struggle with sexual immorality, even if it's just here and there, then you have the Job Complex. If you can't pay your monthly dues for The Alliance, you have the Job Complex. If you are not serving somewhere in the Church, you have the Job Complex. If you are not fulfilling your obligations and taking your commitment to The Alliance seriously, then you have the Job Complex. If you can't trust, can't easily get along, are full of pride, easily offended, quick to judge, quick tempered, a lover of self, compelled to cheat a little and willing to let others disturb your peace of mind, then you have the Job Complex.
Take inventory of your life today and forever. Here is your weekly reading:
Monday: Job 29-31
Tuesday: Job 32-34
Wednesday: Review
Thursday: Job 35-37
Friday: Job 38-39
Saturday: Job 40-42
Sunday: Psalms 1-6
Leading men, changing lives, bringing strength, impacting people.....Alliance Strong!
